Crypto Comparisons...

Ether (ETH) - Dollars:
I really like ETH for it's smart contract and abilities in DeFi but as a long term investment it has some issues:

  1. It's inflationary which means as a currency it's debased with each block issuance. There in NO finite supply.
  2. Increase price of ETH is a negative affect on gas prices thus there is an incentive for the price to be lower.

Bitcoin (BTC) - Gold:

  1. Is first to market and established itself as a reserve.
  2. Is deflationary due to it's finite supply which means it will go up in value against other inflationary assets.

Bitcoin Cash (BCH) - Silver:

  1. Although undervalued, I believe this has a better potential for long term use over Bitcoin and carries the same deflationary benefits and is already support in conjunction with Bitcoin. At this moment someone can still easily own 21 BCH and be 1 of 1 million people.

Litecoin (LTC) - Copper:

  1. Has similar deflationary benefits as above but greater supply and less used.
  2. Token is scrypt mined. Unless the common person starts to independantly drive this market, it will be hard to get mass adoption since it's not managed by any central authority to help push it. Central authorities want consolidation which they can then control.

Alt Coins are best to earn and not buy...

Compound.Finance (COMP) Governance:

  1. Has fixed market cap which is provided by using the platform.
  2. COMP allows holders to vote and propose changes to the platform based on holdings.

Aave.com (AAVE) Governance:

  1. Has fixed market cap, additional AAVE provided by staking.
  2. AAVE allows holders to vote on proposals.

Other governance tokens include CRV, UNI, etc...
